Cultivation consulting & connections

Grow better. Waste less. Get more from your facility.

I’m Billy Green. I’ve been cultivating cannabis since 1993. I help licensed producers get more from their crops, their facilities and their teams—starting with what they already have.

Experience that goes to work

I’ve helped facilities double their yields while improving efficiency and reducing staffing requirements.

That work starts with understanding the crop and the operation behind it. We establish your baseline, identify what needs attention and review the results against your own facility’s performance.

More output matters. So do quality, the cost of each crop and a team that knows how to keep improving.

Practical work. Connected decisions.

Make the whole operation work better.

The goal isn’t more plants or more equipment for their own sake. It’s a better-managed crop, stronger consistency and less unnecessary work.

01

Crop & canopy

Review plant counts, canopy layout and crop density for yield and quality. Where it makes sense, fewer, better-managed plants can reduce media, feed, water and labour.

02

Irrigation & nutrition

Match irrigation and nutrition to the cultivar, its stage and root-zone response. Look at what the crop uses—not just what goes into the tank.

03

Resources & cost per crop

Review substrate volume, nutrient use and water together. Find unnecessary inputs without losing sight of crop output and quality.

04

People & daily workflows

Make everyday work more consistent. Review labour requirements, train the team and help staff understand why a change matters.

05

Cultivar strategy & consistency

Review successive crops, refine environmental and root-zone strategies, and build on what each cultivar shows us from one run to the next.

06

Facility assessment & integration

Start with your existing infrastructure and sensors. Assess compatibility and prioritize targeted upgrades where they have a practical purpose.

Spend where it makes a difference

Every upgrade should earn its place.

I’ve built with my own money in my own grow. I know why the cost matters—and why buying more isn’t always the answer.

We look at the equipment, sensors and connections you already have first. Then we prioritize changes around compatibility, cost and what the crop actually needs.

I look for sensible sourcing and good value, without an unnecessary “cannabis tax.” The right purchase is the one that has a clear job to do in your facility.

Experience + Master Control

I don’t just help you set it up. I help you use it.

I built Master Control, use it in my own grow and keep refining it. It brings irrigation control, root-zone readings and environmental monitoring together so my cultivation experience can carry through into day-to-day decisions.

Consulting stands on its own. You don’t need Master Control to work with me; it’s an option when connected control and ongoing data review would strengthen the work.

Assess & commission

Review compatibility, set up appropriate sensing and control, and commission the approved functions for your facility.

Train & connect

Train staff on site and remotely. Once commissioned and connected, I can monitor remotely from wherever I am and operate approved connected controls with agreed permissions.

Review & refine

Agree ongoing data review, training and support around each cultivar and run. Your facility team remains responsible for the hands-on work.

People I trust

The right people. The right support.

I know where my strengths are—and when a project needs another skill set. I bring in people I trust so you get the right expertise for the job.

AGRONOMY & CANNABIS QUALITY

Professor
Av Singh

PhD, PAg

Regenerative Organic Agronomist

Executive Director, Scotian Cannabis Alliance

About Av Singh (opens in a new tab)

Av has worked on cannabis projects across six continents, and I’m excited to bring that depth of experience to the people I work with. He’s a regenerative organic agronomist who connects plant science with traditional knowledge and a deep understanding of how plants and soil work together.

He also brings international grower education experience and expertise in cannabis quality assurance. That gives us another level of support when a project needs us to dig deeper into the crop, the growing system or the quality of what’s being produced.

I love putting knowledgeable people in the same room and seeing what we can figure out. With Av on the team, there’s a hell of a lot we can bring to that conversation.

Cultivation Coaches

Shane Hutto

For complex cultivation challenges and larger-scale operations, I can bring in Shane Hutto of Cultivation Coaches—adding experience in crop strategy, production efficiency and grower coaching.

Plant Life Co.

Plant Life Co is my go-to for cost-effective nutrition. I help match the program to your crop and look at what it costs to feed—not just the price on the bag.

GrowBud

I use GrowBud sensors in my own grow and work with the company. That connection helps me source cost-conscious sensing and monitoring options, and assess compatible connections for Master Control.

How we work together

A clear plan. Follow-through that matters.

We agree the scope, priorities and support before starting. Then we review yield and quality alongside labour hours, media, feed and water use against your facility’s baseline.

  1. 01

    Assess

Understand your crop, infrastructure, team and current results.

  2. 02

    Prioritize

Agree the changes worth making and what they’ll cost.

  3. 03

    Implement & train

Put the agreed changes to work and help your team use them.

  4. 04

    Review

Look at each run, learn from the response and refine the next crop.

Together, better.

Let’s improve your grow.

Tell me what you’re growing, what’s costing more than it should and where you want to improve. We can start with a practical conversation.
